A NEW SCHAM IN DEARBORN

Is your dog barking in the middle of the night in the Ford Woods Area of Dearborn? Has someone called the Police Department causing them to visit your home to tell you to put your dogs in because someone is complaining? It’s been happening in our neighborhood. One might think that a call from a cell phone about this would cause the PD to be suspicious (seeing as how they can get immediate identification from every phone call logged into dispatch EXCEPT prepay cell phones.

Crooks are doing this to get your dogs inside while they break into your car and your garage. This has happened several times in our neighborhood, and apparently the Police Department has not yet figured this out. They have not figured it out because they continue to make people put the dogs in, do not remain in the neighborhood and chalk it up to a coincidence.

Be aware if your K9 is acting suspiciously in the wee hours of the morning folks. As usual, the DPD is either taking a lackadaisical approach, could care less or are totally clueless to the trend going on in this neighborhood. Like most things occurring in Dearborn, it just gets swept under the rug.
