Street Scene

Springtime has arrived in East Dearborn. A couple of young girls strolling down the street are conversed with by an individual living on the street who was driving up to his house. Next several members of the girls "family" approach and drag him from the car, beating him in the street and then onto the lawns of adjacent property. The adjacent homeowner comes out and is told "this is our neighborhood now whitey". The police arrive, warn the adjacent homeowner about "interfering", advise her not to point "at them", and to keep a low profile in the neighborhood. (is keeping your eyes averted and being submissive next to come?).Unbelievably after the beating in the street and lawns of a once fine east end neighborhood, no one was arrested but the adjacent homeowner was warned that such "interference" in the future could result in HER arrest! Only in East Dearborn, the new Fort Apache the Bronx.
